blue nestled like
a canoe floating the
skyways dreamward in the cathedrals
of
southern france
drifting stoneward towards
the precious blue stone
embedded in the rippling saskatchewan
grasses
I whisper
soundlessly summer smoke
seen rising in the
sighs of restlessness you came
as
an angelic
messenger dressed in
white no more than
a cloud in a moon
lit
night a
gentle fury seeking
a way to follow
the heart no more once
more
forlorn the
city of quiet
desperation beckons and
I wonder how the
rain strays defying all reason
lowering
the cradle
of hope down
from the high and
you are still and you

winding beside the
other not lost living
